Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP Application Process
Skadden's training contract application process is very unique. You need to make sure you are familiar with the steps you need to take before applying for an opportunity at the firm.
Stage one
If you are interested in becoming a trainee at Skadden, you will need to first apply for one of their vacation schemes. The firm requires students to have a 2:1 or above and be interested in corporate or litigation law, as well as international arbitration.
The first stage of the application is to complete an online application form. Applications tend to open around October and close by the end of December. Skadden recruits on a rolling basis, so you should try and send in your application as quickly as possible.
Stage two
If you progress to the next stage, you will have a telephone interview in January with Skadden’s graduate recruitment team.
Stage three
The final stage is an assessment day in either January or February. Applicants will have to complete: an interview with partners or associates, a group exercise discussing a hypothetical business case, a panel Q&A discussion and a written exercise.
Providing you receive a vacation scheme offer, you will have an interview for a training contract near the end of the scheme.
