Trainee Solicitor Programme

Goodwin's objective is to see you transition over the two-year period from a talented student to a confident, professional lawyer. You will have the opportunity to rotate in their practice areas: Litigation, Finance, Antitrust, Funds, Tax, Private Equity, Real Estate and Technology & Life Sciences.

Goodwin Procter is looking for entrepreneurial, aspirational and driven candidates.

The firm welcome applications from candidates at all universities in all degree disciplines.

To be eligible to apply, you will need to be in the penultimate year of your law degree, final year of your non-law degree, or have already graduated.

Vacation Scheme

Goodwin Procter's vacation scheme will help you gain the skills required for a successful legal career. The firm’s vacation scheme provides candidates with a chance to learn what life is like there, and also provides them with the opportunity to get to know you better.

During the scheme, you’ll get the chance to attend client meetings, shadow partners and associates, and even participate in negotiations. By the end of the programme, you’ll have broadened your professional and social network, and gained valuable mentors.

All Vacation Scheme participants are automatically considered for a position on the trainee solicitor programme.

Goodwin Procter will be holding two Vacation Schemes in 2024:

Spring Scheme: 15th - 19th April 2024

Summer Scheme: 17th - 21st June 2024
