Profile:

After completing a non-law degree and working as a paralegal for two years, I completed my graduate diploma in law and was surprised to be selected to complete a training at Clifford Chance LLP. I then went on to become a financial services solicitor at Charles Russell Speechlys. I joined PwC in 2014 as a financial services regulatory solicitor.

My two brothers and I were the first generation of our family to obtain a university education. I was state school educated and came from a low income family. I was bought up in a council house in a deprived area of London where becoming a City solicitor seemed unachievable. Diversity is important to me because I believe that everyone should have an opportunity to achieve their potential no matter what their status or background. I think diversity enriches the organisations that embrace it – they benefit from a wide range of perspectives and experiences that help them to relate to a multitude of clients and it also creates a rewarding working environment where we can learn from each other.
