I am an Associate in the Employment Team in the Cambridge office of Eversheds Sutherland. Before that, I trained at Stephenson Harwood where I qualified into their Employment team.

I am an out and proud bisexual woman who is state school educated.

Having completed work experience at a local high street firm during sixth form, I knew I wanted to become a solicitor, but I had to work hard to get the experience to make that a reality. Aspiring Solicitors was an incredible lifeline in helping me find good, informative legal work experience, which not only boosted my CV, but more importantly; boosted my confidence.

During the summer of my second year of university, I completed two weeks of work experience with the help of Aspiring Solicitors. I spent one week with the in-house legal team at Laing O’Rourke, and another week with the in-house legal team at Barclays. These experiences were incredibly insightful and informative, confirming that I wanted to be a commercial solicitor. AS also supported me throughout my training contract and since qualifying by providing alumni events and advice on career progression.

Aspiring Solicitors gave me the opportunities, support, and guidance to succeed in securing a training contract. I have continued to work closely with AS, as a professional ambassador and by assisting at AS events. I honestly do not think I could have gotten my training contract without the support of AS. Consequently, I would be more than happy to help any prospective applicants, and answer any questions you may have.
