Profile:

I was born and raised in the East End of London and educated at state schools in Walthamstow that were very diverse in many ways, in particular ethnic diversity and socio-economic background. I worked weekends from the age of 15 in a local shop and continued to work evenings and weekends to fund as much of my studies as I could right up until I started my training contract which I commenced in 1999.

None of my family are lawyers and I was the first person in my family to go to university and get a degree.

My parents were and continue to be a huge motivational and emotional support and have always encouraged me.

I trained at Williams Davies Meltzer and became interested in personal injury litigation while there. I frequently attended Court while I was a trainee solicitor doing advocacy on applications and CMCs. On qualification I joined DAC Beachcroft Claims Ltd (at that time called Beachcroft Wansbroughs) working in personal injury and I worked my way up from a newly qualified solicitor to Associate and then Partner. I have been a Partner since 2014 and now manage the London and Winchester disease teams.

I volunteer at every opportunity at DAC Beachcroft and am always keen to support others, share my experiences and give something back whenever I can. I believe that everyone has potential and that encouragement, support and hard work can go a long way in achieving your goals.
