“I became an AS member back in 2020. I attended the HeadStart event in spring 2021, before starting my vacation scheme at Norton Rose Fulbright in April. The event was extremely helpful and gave me practical tips that I implemented throughout my week-long vacation scheme. The piece of information that still sticks with me was Harri’s advice to focus on my main career drivers and rank them in order of the most important and use the vacation scheme to gain more insights into my drivers. This was really helpful and helped me to strongly showcase my motivations for the firm and the potential I had as a trainee and beyond at NRF.
I had also messaged two AS ambassadors before my vacation scheme and they were able to share the experiences they’ve had so far at NRF. When it came to my final interview, I was able to blend the knowledge gained from the AS ambassadors with my own experience of the firm during my vacation scheme. I believe that both the HeadStart programme and the AS ambassador network were instrumental to my success in converting my vacation at NRF. I am excited to start my training contract at such an amazing firm this summer – thank you AS for your support and guidance!”
