My diversity networks

Profile:

I am currently an Associate with the Corporate practice at Covington. I studied politics at the University of Exeter and then transitioned into law through the GDL and LPC at the University of Law.

During my time at Covington I have been an active member of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee and strands. I organised a step challenge and walking tour around our offices as part of our efforts for world mental health day and was involved in the disability strand and the multi-cultural network.

I think that diversity is incredibly important because it fosters creativity and innovation. Everyone has different ideas and knowledge and to be diverse is to give an environment that incorporates all of these viewpoints and experiences. Diversity is necessary in making everyone welcome and comfortable. Diversity creates acceptance and awareness. To not be diverse is to be static and uniform and to miss out on what the world has to offer.
