BCLP, Governers House, 5 Laurence Pountney Hill, London, EC4R 0BR

BCLP will be partnering with Aspiring Solicitors (AS) on their annual Race for Change event. Race For Change is an event specifically aimed at aspiring lawyers of Black heritage.

This event will allow attendees to build their confidence, network, and knowledge, when applying to law firms. Race For Change will be hosted at BCLP’s London office on Wednesday 2 October 2024 and will include a range of speakers from BCLP, as well as wider City law firms and corporates. You will have the opportunity to meet other AS Members and hear from Black legal professionals, building a sense of community with your peers and role models. Panel sessions will discuss techniques for overcoming the obstacles for Black lawyers and the progress that has been achieved to make positive, lasting change. Speakers will also share practice advice to build your skills.

Annually, BCLP make multiple offers to Race for Change candidates, with many event alumni receiving training contract offers and being current trainees in the firm.
