The Solicitors Qualifying Exam (SQE) is a new postgraduate law course that was introduced by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA). It ultimately replaces the LPC and GDL courses, and will be a “super-exam” for graduates seeking to qualify as solicitors. There are a few things to be aware of when it comes to the SQE - have a read of our advice about it in this section and browse the SQE preparation courses on offer below.
This course is designed for law graduates or those who’ve completed a law conversion course, including our SQE Law Essentials. It will prepare you for the SRA’s centralised SQE1 assessments.
Our SQE2 Exam Preparation Course is a short, intensive revision course to ensure you’re confident and fully prepared for the SRA’s centralised SQE2 assessments, which will test the practical legal skills of client interviewing, advocacy, legal writing, drafting and research, and case and matter analysis.
Our SQE1 Preparation course focuses on the key legal practice areas that are examined in both stages of the SQE assessments. It includes materials and revision opportunities for the core areas of law from your previous studies.
Start your legal journey with our new SQE Law Essentials course, the first step for non-law graduates who want to learn the fundamentals of law and plan to progress to SQE1.
Our SQE Starter Course is aimed at non-law graduates or career changers who are looking to gain the basic legal knowledge required to study an SQE preparation course.
The SQE1&2 Diploma provides you with comprehensive preparation for both SQE exams. You will develop the Functioning Legal Knowledge (FLK) that is assessed in both SQE1 and SQE2, along with the core legal skills that are tested in SQE2.
The SQE1&2 Diploma provides you with comprehensive preparation for both SQE exams. You will develop the Functioning Legal Knowledge (FLK) that is assessed in both SQE1 and SQE2, along with the core legal skills that are tested in SQE2.
If you've passed SQE1, our SQE2 Preparation course offers extensive diagnostic testing and practise of SQE2-style tasks across all SQE legal contexts. This is also available for LPC graduates who have undertaken two years of recognised qualifying work experience and are looking to pass the SQE2 assessment as an equivalent to the LPC period of recognised training.
